Honduras Day 2

Hey! Back again. I want to hit these Honduras pictures out of the park! Need to catch up to some current stuff, so I'll try to get all these up pretty soon.

On the 2nd day of Honduras we went to the Woman's prison. We did our skit for them, gave them back packs with goodies and made them lunch, and just loved on them! They are so precious. There were a lot of kids in there with them because in Honduras if you have a child under five years old they have to go into prison with you - and sometimes it's a better life then what they would get on the outside. I didn't take my camera in, so I didn't get pictures of this mission outreach and.... I wish I had but oh well!

So later on in the day we went to Jimmy Hughe's children's home where he houses kids from abusive homes or abandonment.
Paul, being crazy! He loved going everywhere with us!
These two pictures are of a boy who is literally hyper ALL the time. While his mother was pregnant with him she was on crack, so when he was born he was addicted to it. I believe that she was so high that she just left him on the streets.
The girl in the middle, is Jackie. Her mother was brought home one night by a gang and her and her brother were forced to watch them murder their mother and grandmother (at ages 3 & 5) then they went for her brother, stabbing him repeatedly, then they went for Jackie, and he threw himself on top of her, protecting her. They went down to break his neck, and they wrapped him (along with his mother and grandmother) in blankets and threw them into the streets - little did they know they didn't break his neck, they broke his jaw, and he is alive today! Speaking in front of people at universities and other places telling his story!

Thanks for reading! Check back for day 3! Either today or tomorrow! :)
